Apple’s “Far Out” Event 7 September 2022, What To Expect

Apple has officially announced its annual September event for 2022, and it is scheduled on September 7.
The event is themed as “Far Out” that includes a star field resembling Apple logo. The Far Out theme means that we can expect the long-awaited products launches like Apple’s AR headset, new HomePod featuring display and even an Apple Car.

As the event is just around the corner, so this is the hot topic of discussion as we expect the launch of some most anticipated products. So, its not the iPhone14 which is going to be unveiled on September 7, but there are others too including Apple Watch Series 8, iPad with M2 chip and MacBooks and Mac Mini versions.

Apple Event 2022

Although, Apple typically holds its annual event around the middle of September like in 2021 it was on 12 September. So, this year also Apple Event was rumored to be on 13 September. However, breaking the tradition, this year Apple Event will be on 7 September 2022. Also, this year it will be an in-person event that will take place at Apple Park campus in located in Cupertino, California, United States and also will stream live online.

What you may expect from Apple’s Far Out event?

The company is likely to unveil iPhone 14 models including iPhone 14, iPhone 14 Max, iPhone 14 Pro and iPhone 14 Pro Max. As well as, you may witness the launch of much-awaited smartwatch from Apple, that is Watch 8 Series with flat front glass display, a rugged model and upgrades in health features. Apple may also reveal other products like iPad with M2 chip and MacBooks, Mac Mini versions and iOS 16.

1# The iPhone 14 Models:

Apple is expected to announce its new iPhone lineup that is iPhone 14. It will come in 4 versions:

  • 6.1-inch iPhone 14,
  • 6.1-inch iPhone 14 Pro,
  • 6.7-inch iPhone 14 (Max or Plus), and
  • 6.7-inch iPhone 14 Pro Max.

As of now, there is no any news about 5.4-inch iPhone 14 mini version. Also, this time the pro models will differ from the non-pro models.  The Pro models will get a significant camera upgrade to 48-megapixel sensor due to which, it may have a big camera bump. They may also feature improved front-facing camera, A16 chip, thin bezels, pill-shaped cutout along with a camera hole punch.

While the iPhone and iPhone Max will still have the notch featuring current A15 chip.

2# Apple Watch 8 Series:

We can expect 2 different versions of the upcoming Apple Watch 8 series, one will be the successor of the Watch 7 which may come in different build sizes and material. However, second one is a “rugged” model which is Apple’s first smart watch for more extreme usage. The Apple Watch Series 8 may feature upgraded low-power mode, longer battery life, temperature sensor and others functions.

The rugged Apple Watch 8 will be an “extreme sports” model that will be more focused for sportspersons, hikers, athletes. It may feature a metal casing to withstand tough usage. It may also have slighter greater display size than the 45mm ‌Apple Watch Series 7‌, this could be of 1.99 inches diagonally (47mm) and resolution of410 x 502 pixels.

3# Rollout of iOS 16 and watchOS 9:

Apple announced the iOS 16 along with iPadOS 16 at WWDC 2022 which held in June 2022. Since the announcement, the company has released many beta versions for developers and public beta testers to check out the features available in the coming update. So, we are expecting the final release of  iOS 16, so we can use all the latest features.

Additionally, the Apple Watch 8 Series may ship with the watchOS 9, the latest version. It may feature some new watch faces, enhanced sleep tracking, and as well as a medications app. This will help users to keep track of their medicines, supplements and vitamins intake.

Apple is also expected to announce second-generation AirPods Pro, 10th-generation iPad, upgraded iPad Pro, as well as an Apple silicon Mac Pro and more products. But however the September events of Apple are mainly focused on iPhone, so there are less chances that we expect any new Mac launches. So, we may have to wait till Apple’s October event for it.
